Sunday Kenpo
Monday Core
Tuesday Cardio
Wednesday Shoulders, Arms and Abs
Thursday YOGA
Friday Legs, Back and Abs
Saturday break
Sunday Kenpo
I can't remember which days I skipped last week, but I did skip two. And I did not do abs on Friday. Wednesday, I steam cleaned the entire apartment. I moved all of the furniture and put a whole bunch of stuff away. I think that counts as a work out, I was exhausted at the end of the day.
I've been noticing more and more improvement in the routines. I can do more pushups and kicks. AND I'VE ACTUALLY SEEN A BEAD OF SWEAT FORM ON MY BODY!!!! See, it's actually working :)

tiny little changes
Monday=Core
Tuesday=Cardio
Wednesday=Shoulders, Arms, and Abs
Thursday=YOGA ( got half-way through it, had to get to work)
Friday= Legs, back and Abs
Tomorrow=KENPO!!!!
Today's abs... were so awesome. I did twelve reps of each move. AWESOME. Things are getting easier to do. I'm noticing that it's easier to bend over and pick stuff up or put stuff down. I'm loving the chocolate milk recovery.
I've been sick most of this week, so working out has been tough. Today I'm much better than I have been, but there's still some phlegm stuck somewhere. AND I FEEL AMAZING!!
I'm noticing tiny little changes in my body, the way clothes fit, etc... I know that I'm losing weight and that P90X is working. And I know that I am working hard enough.
The doctor I went to see is kinda nuts. The first time, last week, he gave me a Z-pack and said "your lungs sound fine." I did not realize that coughing up mucus and wheezing like a fat pug dog meant that my lungs were fine. He said the same thing this week about my lungs. And I'm waking up in the middle of the night coughing so bad that my husband wakes up freaking out.
"You might have exercise-induced asthma." Right. Because the thousands of dollars I spent on tests to GET INTO THE MILITARY -- to clear my medical record-- proving that I DO NOT have asthma were a total waste. Right. "You should also try some Prilosec, you might have some acid reflux disease." Look, seriously, pick a diagnosis. Be definite about it. I don't have heart burn before or after working out, eating spicy food or ANYTHING. People get bronchitis. Prescribe bronchitis medication. Check your hearing and GO BACK TO SCHOOL. ... doctors... I don't have a medical degree or license, but I know that I am legitimately sick. I do not have asthma. Or heart burn. And my allergies to CATS are controlled by the medicine I take daily. //endrant

ambition
Good evening, folks.
Today I repeated the Core work out. My glutes kinda hurt from the squats.
In every movement of my body I can feel the new muscles moving. It's kind of encouraging :)
how's your progress?

the burning
oh the burning...
Monday=Core
Tuesday=Cardio
Wednesday=Shoulders, Arms and Abs
Thursday=Yoga
Friday=Legs, Back and Abs
Saturday= got up late, way too late to work out, so I counted it as my rest day. Worked a long, tiring, slow shift, though.
Sunday= EASTER! Hiding eggs for the little cousins, then chasing them around pointing them out... then KENPO X!!!!!! ... after an hour nap, because, after all, I did get up at 6:30 for church :)
After this evening's festivities, I felt really drained, so I was looking for some "recovery drink" ideas... especially an option that did not cost 60 dollars a month to imbibe. Now, around the interwebs, folks are touting and discouraging the dose of chocolate milk post-work out. Let me help you with this. DO IT. Throw all of your preconceived notions about sugars and carbs and such OUT THE FREAKING WINDOW. Seriously, guys. Your body needs sugar, carbs, protein and CALORIES, especially after a work out. More so after such an intense work out like P90X.
If you're feeling guilty, throw in a scoop of slimfast or protein powder. Just protein powder. You don't need those hard core bulk-me-up additives. Your body really can only absorb so much protein at a time. Don't waste your money. Chocolate milk. CHOCOLATE MILK. Say it with me now...
Also, it's on sale at Meijer this week for 1.99 a gallon. (It was 4.39 last week!)
Thanks for following and coming up to me personally :) I really do find it encouraging, and it makes me wanna do more to make YOU proud of me.

P90X cardio
I AM SWEATY
45 minutes!!!
More than I have been with the WiiFit workouts. And I'm sick on top of that. It wasn't difficult to get up this morning to work out, though. I knew I had to do it.
...does exercise help you fight colds?

ROCKSPLOSION
ONE HOUR of P90X
my first hour of action. Yesterday was my "first day," I started it this way so that I could have Sunday as my day of rest, as our God intended. There is an option to add a stretch routine in, too.
Now I'm not going full tilt yet. I'm not strong enough. And that's okay. As long as I keep this up, I'll be strong enough in 90 days to kick some serious booty. Not that I will. It's a power thing. lol
Half way through the work out, I broke a resistance band. I guess I get what I pay for, but there was no warning label about stretch length on the packaging. I might have to just pick up extra freeweights or something.
I have a welt on my tummy and it HURTS!
